Copenhagenize Design Co. was tasked by the Region “Grand Est” with conducting an international benchmark on bicycle transport aboard trains. The team identified the best solutions from countries in Europe and around the world for facilitating the support for passengers traveling with their bicycles from the station of departure to the station of arrival, taking into consideration questions regarding information for users as well as technical aspects (ticketing systems, platform access, boarding, security, etc.). Through this benchmark, the Region Grand Est defined a strategy to better adapt the transportation of bicycles on the Paris-Mulhouse railway line, as well as other major railway lines.
