The City of Vienna has promised to make cycling one of its priorities, with a goal to increase its modal share to 8%. Perhaps not the boldest target, but it’s definitely a start. Bicycles certainly feature prominently in Vienna and a bike share programme is helping replant the seeds of bicycle culture.

Copenhagenize Fixes
A lot of the infrastructure in the city is ''now you see it, now you don't' and a more efficient and uniform design plan for infrastructure is badly needed if making the bicycle the fastest way from A to B is a goal. Which it should be. Expanding the bike share programme would be wise – it took us ages to find a station when arriving by train and some serious traffic calming would be brilliant.
