Copenhagenize films for City of Copenhagen

Copenhagenize has produced 5 short films for the City of Copenhagen’s Bicycle Office and Transport Dept. Five films highlighting various aspects of our bicycle culture:
- Bicycle rush hour
- Cargo bike culture
- Bicycle parking
- Cycling in winter
- “Cycle Chic”

The films are designed for the City’s employees to use when giving presentations about the City and are all 1 minute in length. The above film is about Bicycle Rush Hour in Copenhagen and is a kind of Director’s Cut – a little bit longer.

Copenhagenize To Helsinki

Mikael will be giving his Four Goals for Promoting Urban Cycling talk at the Megapolis 2024 Festival in Helsinki on September 25, 2010. The theme for the festival this year is Rhythms of the City.

Copenhagen Cycle Tracks Guide Book

Copenhagenize is pleased to announce the launch of Copenhagen Cycle Tracks guide book to Copenhagen. Four Copenhageners, including Mikael Colville-Andersen, have written an insiders guide to the city. Everything the smiley people at the Tourist Information Office don’t tell you. Although they do now, since the guide is on sale at the Tourist Information Office.

The book is published by Baisikeli and Cycle Chic / Copenhagenize. It’s not a bike guide to Copenhagen, as such, since the bicycle is already the preferred transport form in the city. It reveals hidden gems in the city. Places that tourists don’t usually get to.

It’s available for purchase at Baisikeli Bike Rental, the Tourist Information Office and various hotels and youth hostels around the city. It costs 35 kroner – cheaper than a pint of beer.

Copenhagenize to speak at Velo-City 2010

Mikael Colville-Andersen has been invited to speak at the Velo-City 2010 Global bicycle conference as a plenary speaker.

He’ll be talking about the Social Aspect of Bicycle Culture. What bicycle culture gives to the social fabric of a city and how encouraging citizens to choose the bicycle is beneficial for society.

Copenhagenize to St. Petersburg

Copenhagenize speaks in Catalonia

Copenhagenize was invited to speak at the 3rd Bicycle Congress in the Catalonian city of Lleida in April 2010. The subject was Bicycle Superhighways in Copenhagen and Aarhus.

It was brilliant to meet so many passionate bicycle advocates from Spain, France and Portugal.
