Vision

Vision

At Copenhagenize Consulting we look at urban cycling from the human perspective. We are all in possession of a fantastic tool for transforming cities and towns into more liveable urban spaces. The simple bicycle. Only a few generations ago, the bicycle was a main feature on the urban landscape of cities and towns around the world. There is little standing in the way of us advancing the evolution of Bicycle Culture 2.0.

Copenhagenizing is a way of describing how urban centres can tackle air and noise pollution, rising health care costs due to lifestyle illnesses and obesity as well as creating more liveable cities. Our goal is inspiring and advising others about how to reestablish the bicycle as a transport form by removing the label of cycling as only a sport or a child’s pastime. We do so by using the Copenhagenize Experience as a guide. In the 1960’s cycling was on the decline but we managed to turn that around thanks to visionary urban planning and political decisions.

Such planning and decision-making requires inspiration and Best Practice. Copenhagenize Consulting approaches each client’s situation with passion and determination.

Visual Identities

Visual Identities

Visual identity for the Danish Cargo Bike Championships – Svajerløb 2010.

Design and visual identity for the traditional cargo bike races that featured on the streets of the city for decades.

The last race was ridden in 1960 and, in association with Larry vs Harry and Firmacyklen.dk, the modern event was revived in 2009 and the 2010 event will be a continuation of the success.

Photography & Film

Photography & Film

Copenhagenize Consulting is a market leader in visual material related to bicycle culture and planning. We have an unrivalled back catalogue of photos featuring every aspect of a cycling life in Copenhagen as well as many photos from other cities. Actually, we don’t have a photo of a cat in a bicycle basket, but otherwise we’ve got the subject matter covered after three and a half years of documenting bicycle culture.

We accept photo assignments for cities and towns as well as organisations.

Copenhagenize Consulting’s expertise with regards to the visual documentation of bicycles and culture also extends to the production of films for clients. Whether it is a public service ad, a promotional film for a city or an advert for a bike brand.
